Winter is coming, we are all prepared for that since the Farmer’s Almanac tells us that it will be the worst winter of all time. However, with talk of the hottest summer and the fiercest winter, fall kind of gets left behind. Still, fall is a fantastic season that is filled with so many amazing things: football, pumpkin, apple, leaves, sweaters, scarves, and decent television.

Still, with back to school and yard work, we don’t often get to enjoy our autumns the way we want to. However, if you put some trust in some local companies, you might actually have the time and opportunity to build yourself a great season.

We recently had a post about getting a pool installed in your yard. While having a pool is truly one of the best luxuries, closing it can be a bit of a pain. Just like Gary Thull Pools installs absolutely gorgeous pools, they also winterize them for you.

Winterizing can be a bit of a struggle for many people. You have to know what chemicals to use, what steps to take, how to pull over the cover, and even what to do throughout the winter. If you’ve never closed a pool before or it never seems to work out for you, you might want to consider getting some professional help. Call them soon, because every day you stall allows more leaves to get into the pool.

If you do know how to close your pool, you’ll be able to find a wide selection of choices for which chemicals to buy to complete the job as well.

2. Parks Pest Control

Many people think that pest season is over when summer ends, but that just isn’t the case. Fall simply brings in new pests that we have to watch out for and protect ourselves against. For one, some bees are at their strongest doing into the fall – they have spent all year feeding and mating and they are ready to rumble. Bats are another struggle, as they start coming out earlier and earlier.

Finally, bed bugs are a huge problem during the back to school time. Your kids can bring bed bugs home very easily, and it has led to several outbreaks in schools before. Parks Pest Control has been there to fight against bed bugs and any other type of pest that tries to get into your home.

Parks Pest Control works with both residential and commercial properties.

3. JRS Landscaping

While books and television shows might try to make it seem like raking leaves is fun, the truth of the matter is that it

hurts your back, activates your allergies, and takes up way too much time. JRS Landscaping can help take care of that with leaf removal services. The team there is extremely well equipped to handle leaf fall of any size, working to eliminate leaves and other debris that falls. They will work with your local leaf removal schedule so that you don’t have to worry about your leaves blowing back into your yard.

Your yard isn’t the only think they take care of, they will clear off “all leaves from your beds, turf, decks, and patios.”

If you want, they can even help you your plants so that they come back strong next year.

are known as the “eating seasons,” you’ll be able to find just about everything we love to eat, including “fruits, and local vegetables, meats, cheeses, milk, bulk food items, canned preserves, apple butter, pickles, relishes, salsas and so much more.”

They have thousands of apple trees with multiple types of apples. They also use their own products to create some of the best apple cider you will find – it actually tastes like it used to. If you want to attend fall events, make sure to sign up for their e-mail because they keep you up to date about just about everything.

It’s not a surprise that we love trees, so we think that now is the best place to go get some of those hardy trees for fall. Trees are not only a great look for your yard, they provide you with cleaner air, shade, and a better ecosystem in your yard. Evergreen trees, in particular, are a great choice because they keep some of the green in your yard all season long.

Tuckaway Trees is a local favorite for these kinds of trees. You can go to their website to see a full list of the types of trees that they sell. There are different sizes and ages to choose from as well so that you can make decisions that are the best for your commercial or residential property.

Ensure that you talk to the employees there when you go to purchase a tree or trees – they will give you some of the inside tips about fall planting success.

Fall should be a time to enjoy with your family. One of the best ways to do that is to settle in around a fire pit. However, many people fail to enjoy their fire pit for multiple reasons, the most frequent being that they can’t find the right firewood. Cutting Edge Tree Professionals delivers high-quality firewood that will be safe for you to burn.

Don’t take risks when you have people you care about sitting around a fire that you start – go for the best possible firewood. We know what to look for, how to find pieces that are harmful, and we will deliver it right to you. Give us a call today to see what we have available. If we don’t have a type of wood you like, keep trying, because we cut down trees from all around the State College area.

Cutting Edge Tree Professionals Keeps You Safe

If you think you need a little bit more than firewood, we can also have your back when it comes to tree safety. Before the ice storms and record snowfall hits, make sure your trees are safe to stay standing. You don’t want to be the cause of a power outage of a damaged car if your tree falls because of the excess weight. Our team will come look at your trees, inspecting them for any warning signs that they might not be ready for winter. From there, we can come up with a plan of action to treat it.

Give us a call as soon as possible – you never know when that first storm will hit.
